To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the National Disability Institute is launching a video-making contest (“Economic Empowerment – Defining the New American Dream”) for people with disabilities. Contest participants are encouraged to create a three-minute video about how they are striving to achieve the American Dream by working at a job, buying a home, going to school, or starting a business, or their plans in these areas. The grand prize winner will be given a $1,000 award and a trip to Washington, D.C., where the video will be shown to the National Press Club on October 19, 2010. Submissions must be received by August 13, 2010. Address questions about video submissions to mydream@ndi-inc.org.
